CANCUN, MEXICO

AREA DESCRIPTION BELOW

Cancun is now the number one international Spring Break destination. This fabulous new resort is a sun worshippers dream come true and a Spring Breakers paradise. The beaches are among the finest in the world and with its very fine, sparkling white limestone sand, the beach is always cool and never burns your feet. The water is a crystal clear turquoise blue and perfect for watersports like snorkeling, scuba diving, body surfing, jet skiing and parasailing. Cancun is actually a one quarter mile wide long L-shaped island connected to the mainland by bridges. As a resort Cancun is only 14 years old, but there is more to see and do than you can fit into one week. There are fabulous side excursions to thousand year old ancient Mayan ruins like Chichen Itza or Tulum. If you snorkel or dive, a trip to a small island off the coast of Cancun called Isla Mujeres (Isle of Women) is a must. It has one of the top snorkeling sites in Mexico for viewing tropical fish, and you can even ride on the back of a giant sea turtle or scuba dive to sunken pirate ships by The Cave of the Sleeping Sharks. After a great day in the sun get ready to party till you drop because Cancun's nightlife is fantastic. Don't forget to take that siesta, because most disco's like Christines, Daddy O's, and Magic, just to name a few, are open till dawn. Other great bars like The Hard Rock Cafe and Carlos 'n Charlies are also favorite Spring Break party spots. Dining in Cancun is as varied as any major city. You can eat inexpensively or quite glamorously if you so choose. For lunch or dinner you can't beat Carlos 'n Charlies, Friday Lopez, Banana's, Pizza Rolandi, or some of the other local favorites. However, there are also those familiar American restaurant names like McDonalds, Pizza Hut, KFC, and Denny's for the budget-minded Spring Breaker. Whether it's shopping, dining, partying, or just relaxing on the beach, Cancun is truly a Spring Breaker's paradise. With an average temperature in the 80's during February and March, you can be sure you'll come back with a great tan and a Spring Break you'll never forget.
