If the room rate plays a big part in making your Spring Break 2013 destination decision, you should take a look at Las Vegas. Last year, MTV took over the Palms Hotel and the MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, New York-New York, Monte Carlo, Luxor and Excalibur banded together to offer their own Spring Break extravaganza.
MTV's Headquarters Hotel during MTV's Spring Break, was the The Palms Casino Resort. The Palms Casino Resort was also the host to the 2007 MTV VMA's and The Real World: Las Vegas. The hotel is located on the west side of Interstate 15 about 1.3 miles off the strip.
During the MTV's Spring Break event, there were concerts & celebrity pool parties and Nick Cannon, host of "America's Got Talent will" did two shows on March 5th. Access to the pool parties was controlled and if you wanted to be guaranted access to the poolside events and parties you had to book through an tour operator.
Look for an event filled Spring Break 2013 experience this year.
MGM Resorts also had a two month schedule of Spring Break events that anyone can attend, no matter the hotel they book including the Red Bull Soundclash.
Red Bull Soundclash sponsored a totally unique clash of sounds, styles and creativity, where two bands don't battle each other, but instead collaborate to create an innovative live music performance. It featured the first-time ever match ups between Cee Lo Green and the Ting Tings.
The March 12th show will featured two bands with different music styles (e.g. Hip Hop vs. Electronic) that facing off on two stages positioned on opposite ends of the venue with the audience in the middle. In a series of four rounds, the bands performed various tasks, some rehearsed, and some improvised, to showcase the array of their musical abilities.
